A Little About Me
Hello! I’m Sue, the person behind Wider Fitting Shoes.
I’ve lived with arthritis for many years and have had two hip replacements and two ankle replacements. Add swollen feet and flat feet into the mix, and finding comfortable shoes hasn’t always been straightforward!
After my ankle replacement surgery, my orthopaedic consultant recommended rocker-bottom shoes for everyday walking. Finding a pair that fitted properly and looked reasonably stylish turned out to be quite an adventure.
Those experiences inspired me to create Wider Fitting Shoes. I wanted to share what I’ve learned and help others find footwear that feels comfortable without having to sacrifice style.
